So we have a future international emergency authouriy that is "responsible for the physical and economic security of certain portions of North America" - Canada, USA, Mexico, maybe a central American country or two. It needs a name and an acronym and I'm trying to sort out which sounds best. It's a bit of a fuck-up as far as these things go, but it has the potontial for some Big Brother jackbootery. Suggestions?

You should pick one that is not NAPNSA because NAPNSA is not a word, and acronyms are. NAABS is stretching it too. As is PABSA. Oh God and CSATMA? If this is a north American organization, maybe something that looks a little less Russian?

I like CESA (seasa) and NASMA (nazma), I think CESA is cool because it uses the word "Continental".

There are several places for acronyms. There's the current authourity as well a as the one that preceded it and/or the one it's going to become if the jackboots get their way. There are also agencies: an the internal security agency or two or three (which hopefully feud), a police-networking organization like the FBI, new federal departments.... Plus there need to be Haliburtonesque companies that survive on political ties.
