I want to run a tabletop RPG. The only question is whether it is:

A: A rip-off / improvement upon X-Men
I'm talking mutants, society, strangeness, alienation, identity and maybe some adventure.
(No bloody invisible planes full of ninja schoolteachers fighting shapeshfting extradimensionals. Damn you Stan Lee!)

B: A rip-off / improvement upon zombie or alien invasion movies and X-Com.
That is to say, THE END OF THE WORLD AT THE HANDS OF OTHER BEINGS. That sort of thing. Crumbling societies, hideous creatures, survivors, madness.

Anyone interested?
I'm thinking biweekly sessions, maybe on a Sunday night, or a Tuesday or Wednesday night? What works?

I'm unsure whether I can commit the time, but biweekly is certainly easier than weekly. I would love an end-of-the-world scenario—I've been wanting to run one for a while, but playing would be excellent.

Incidentally, what kind of "newish systemy things" are you thinking about?

I'd be interested in the end of the world thing - time commitment might be a bit touchy, but yeah, biweekly yes!

(you'll have to keep in mind that I've only played D&D once or twice, and other than that have no real tabletop experience, so you'd have to help me a bit with rules and numbers)

Yeah, sure. I was thinking of getting back into playing rpgs (as opposed to just writing them).
