Summer: Go to the lift locks and watch the boats go up and down
Winter: Try not to freeze

There's also the Canadian Canoe museum.

It's also pretty nearly the right distance from Tronna. Far enough for it not to be a bother, close enough that it doesn't take all day to get there.
