The crackle is absent: no speech can reach me.

Either I have just been transported to a nearby solar system or my roomate has moved out and kept her phone. The difference is immaterial as either way I can't be reached by distance audio communication.

Now, if the former is true then either you all won't get this message until early 2009 or LJ has an ansible.

Which would be why when I called you the other day, I wasn't called back. Pleasure to know. I'd forgotten by the time I saw you. I hope rehearsal went well. I left to deal with James, I knew he would be home. He's gone for the "I pay my bills for more time" deal. H'e sjust this week quit his job, so his life's a little up in the air. Things are looking positive, however. He's getting back into working with computers. Good jobs wil be easy for him to find.
