My Kinmic logic-game proposal got rejected, which was amusing. On its heels came an email saying that I'd been turned down from the undergraduate semester in dialogue, which was discouraging. I was stepping towards declining JET, but a look in my mailbox showed that they'd beaten me to it.
All this in one day... Fuck!

Interviews to do with the university especially irk me, because they have this I-know-what's-right-for-thou-and-society attitude.
I remember being turned down from a position as an orientation leader because I was "too mature, " the reason being that I displayed no discomfort in contact he female applicants. They wanted to give the job to someone who'd "learn more from it," and was, I presume, afraid of cooties.
Science Al!ve wants girls to know that girls can do science, and hire accordingly - I didn't know this. (The fact that men can teach children will remain a closely guarded secret)
The Undergraduate Semester in Dialogue preferred to induct pre-grad students who'd need the credits. It's a n experimental high-caliber program god-dammit, people take it because they think it works for them, because, like me, they think it's about skill-building. If someone wants upper-division credits, they can take Dogfucking 300.
