It reads as if the person you are dating is insecure, wants to be assured both of her beauty and her worth as a human being. It reads as if she is nervous around transgender issues, and is not willing to accept this about herself.
You really do have your head on straight Amy, and that is something I admire about you. Clear thinking is valued too little in our world which tells us so many things about what we SHOULD.
