Rest

Dec. 15th, 2006 10:07 pm
It's funny how I forget little details like how this semester's courseload was picked in a mad dash on the Thursday before, and the Wednesday after, classes started. This plan being the one I came up with after being unable to get into business. This plan placing runner-up to starting my own busuness. That plan being sort of a runner up to teaching in Japan and/or doing the semester in dialogue.

I've been pushing myself since the beginning of August, which is when I decided that I was:
A - going into business
B - transgendered

I didn't sleep right for the better part of a month. It's been three and a half months of grinding myself with a less than clear idea of what the fuck I'm doing.

And now... a break.

*So. With the exception of part of Monday and Tuesday, I have next week mostly off. If you want to do something, or better yet, do nothing but in a social environment, I am most likely interested.*

Also. I want to go to Kelowna on the 23rd or 24th and come back on the 27th to 29th. Anyone else headed in that direction, or know someone who will be?
Anyone here who's an SFU students Should Go Vote on Monday or Tuesday. Same goes for your friends.
If you're not an SFU student, I have to ask you to retroactively register in the last semester, then vote.

On that note, the good Mr. Harder said that he appreciates how I've been 'reining in my natural political tendencies.'
Like what? Like my lateral-thinking strategies to increase voter turnout.

Sample Poster statement:
"The SFSS keeps track of all students who vote. The new SFSS administration will not sell parking passes to any student who fails to vote in the coming election."

I can say this in elections for two reasons.
- One: the rules permit lying
- Two: It's true. (The SFSS doesn't sell parking passes to anyone. That's the University's job.)

I have other ideas too, but I ain't poisting them in public.
Surprised, I pause to reflect on how this seemingly fluffy video in this post by Jhayne manages to hit home on a lot of my gender issues.
(And it reminds me why I shouldn't be allowed to watch TV)
