2008 Resolutions.

New Years is coming up. I find resolutions useful if I write them down and return to them, tracking my progress and forming plans.
1. Mental Health
Mental aptitude and dysfunction are two sides of the same coin. My brain is a like a fly-by-wire jet fighter. In several areas, it outperforms the majority of other models but it requires constant adjustment (AKA Lifestyle management) to not fall apart. More specifically, it does not make enough dopamine or seratonin and has some kind of cognitive miswire. The former can predispose one to Parkinson's, it also makes it hard to get addicted to chemical substaces. (not builder computer games). Research points to the latter predisposing one to OCD (although if it's slightly different, it's Tourette's) and makes it hard to recognize facial expression, but it improves some forms of cognition. Low seratonin must have some upshot, but it contributes to mood disorders.
Liestyle management is why I have keep to firm guidelines about things like sleep, food and alcohol.
a) Anyway, Having incapacitated depression, cut it's head off, turned it around, stuffed it's mouth with communion wafers, driven a stake through it's heart and buried it next to OCD hoping that it will stay down, I now turn to overcoming anxiety. I'll beat the fucker down over the course of the year. That's one half.
b) The other half is revamping my ability to sleep well. I've mostly fixed my sleep schedule, but staying asleep after the first REM cycle remains difficult.
2. Openess and the assertion (to self and others) of Emotional and Physical Needs.
(stress management is covered under part 1)
a) Cuddle more
b) More kink
I guess I'm attending the monthly events then. Will also try to find someone to play with.
c) Show sexual interest
d) More conversational candor
When I'm thinking something in conversation, and it isn't obviously inappropriate say it.
e) (related to above) Show my sense of humour more
I mean, what the fuck happened to it? I remember being told in rez that I was hilarious.
f) Do/see/make/wear/whatever More Dyke shit.
I'm enjoying this. Let's see how it feels to explore the new subgender a little further.
g) Be less hard on myself
It occurs to me that I judge myself far more harshy than others - except for those time when I judge myself when I'd never think to question others at all. This must stop.
h) more physical activity
dance, sports, whatever
i) Ask people for facilitation/assistance in accomplishing the above
3. Finish Off Transition
Holy Shit. Did I just write that?
a) finish second half of renaming ritual
b) electrolysis on facial hair and Amish--chic neck beard
c) electrolysis on prescribed parts of genitals as part of item "e"
d) facial bone surgery
e) genital reassignment surgery (executed in the year or, failing that, booked for early 2009)
f) change all remaining documents (to my irritation, this requires item "e" as my birth certificate is bound by Michigan Law)
g) IMPORTANT - do not change sex a second time - DO NOT DO THIS
4. Do at least one cool thing this year
Will it be a Rhino Party run on City Hall?
Will it be learning trades?
Will it be extensive travel?
Will it be a lot of ritual work?
Will it be research?
It will likely include a novel or short story as a bonus.
All of these require prep and planning.
5. Practice Better Time Management
a) less time on computer
this has so far involved being mindful of what exactly I was using the computer for and when. This is part of why I spend less time on LJ.
b) don't lie awake in bed when I could be doing something enjoyable to relax
