2007 Resolutions in review.

  1. - Show some geek pride
I'm not mentioning geek stuff as much as it comes to mind in conversation, but I have explained to people that I see nothing wrong with someone who enjoys Magic, D&D, Anime, Comics, Furries, Slash fic, Star Trek, Star Wars, Holy Grail, Blake's Seven, Doctor Who, computer humour etc....

  2. - Hit on people or othervise initiate a display of romantic/sexual/kinky interest,
I've been asking people out on dates and trying to put myself where I can meet others. Mixed success.

  3. - Don't stress over school. If I have to break myself to get into grad school, then grad school is not the place for me.
Did it; let it slide. One unimportant mark went down. Important marks went up.

  4. - Be a good leader, practice active listening to facilitate cooperation between rival factions,
Definitely. Slip-ups are part of the learning process. I seem to be good at walking between two worlds, and can translate POVs for people. Now to figure out how to mediate. I also now know not to commit to too much.

  5. - Get enough exercise to improve mood,
Exercise level remains relathively constant, but I'm timing it better to help with sleep. I have also signed up for softball. I want to go paintballing. I will find someone who knows more about this.

  6. - Cut down on fat, salt, sugar, and inorganics, especially unethicals,
Doing well. Cutting down to less than half of this time last year. Adding free trade.

  7. - Become aquainted with permaculture
No time.

  8. - Continue lucid dreaming experiments and chasing of ASC (Altered States of Consciousness),
Starting to lucid dream remains elusive, however, I can now keep a lucid-ish state without destabilizing the dream. Good progess on the ASC front midway through the year. (I took a class that was 2/5ths Ecstactic states)

  9. - Acknowledge, then bypass misplaced anxieties and feelings of shame,
Moderate success. Need to focus more.

10. - Sort out what is needed for me to concentrate more thoughroughly on text,
Take breaks, set goals, de-stress, reward self, accept incomplete readings. Working on putting it into practice.

11. - Be more direct
Successful.

12. - Spend less time on the computer. I licked the TV habit; this should be doable too. The key is to do more things that I also really enjoy, like arts and crafts, socializing, kink, exercise. All the wrok and school shoulrd keep me pretty busy too!
Moderate success. I'm identifying exactly what's eating up my time. This reminds me

13. - Change sex.... I think.
Yup.

Not bad.
