Good lord, what will they think of next?

Unofficial results:
605 votes cast for External Relations Officer
69 (11.4%) Blank
108 (17.9%) Young
173 (28.6%) Tunnacliff
255 (42.1%) Fox

(we really need a preferential ballot)

The unofficial results state that I've been elected and will be the next External Relations Officer of the SFSS.

Unfortunately, Bryson came in second for MSO
Tyler came in third for one of the two the At-Large - although he and Derek Andrew could get in if the mail-in ballots can net a few more votes. Pink, on the other hand, did not just win, but did so by a considerable margin

Three Pink (President, Treasurer, IRO)
Three Blue: Student Leader Action Party (MSO, both At-Larges)
One Orange: Clearly the Best Choice (XRO)
No-one ran for Health Sciences

This is kind of weird: it's the first time that I've campaigned and won:
- I won a position on the Burnaby Mountain Community Advisory Committee, but I didn't really campaign for it. And I didn't run for Senate, but was acclaimed.
- Conversely, every election campaign in which I've volunteered, save for my short stint with The Honourable Ms. Davies, has been a rout.

Strange. Very strange. Assuming that the unofficial results hold, I guess I'm going to work tomorrow!

Well, _I_ think that congratulations are in order.

Ergo:

Congratulations!

Huzzah! Congratulations!

I too have only ever lost elections, whether as a candidate or as a campaign manager. Eventually I just gave up and started organizing joke slates for the UBC AMS council; these lost also, but defied no hopes by doing so.

I'm deeply gratified and impressed. Well done.
