Starbuck Costume in Progress

I am totally stoked on this sewing thing - It's like "damn, I can make my own clothes!"

They'll fit, and they'll be the right colour and style, and as long as I know where the fabric comes from, and excepting those times when I'm a tyrannical boss to myself, I'll know that they were made ethically.

Wow!

sounds interesting. I've always thought making ones own clothes would be difficult (maybe becuase my sewing skills are sub-par)

I've been changing that opionion lately, I've seen some stuff that looks really good. When you have stuff made will you take photos and post them? I'd like to see what you come up with.

it is the awesome (grins)-although sometimes it's a lot of work, usually it's worth it

especially when it's difficult to find the styles/fit you want (I like medieval styles and lots-of-fabric historical stuff, those are damn expensive in stores)

Sewing is great for that. The only problem is that while sewing is easier than everyone seems to think, sewing well takes a lot of work. It's hard on perfectionists.
